wet weekend fun...

it must be winter because its raining..=) but that doesn't stop us from having fun =) the weekend was nice, chilly but nice. We got all our busy stuff done on sat and decided sunday was a family adventure day.. we love those!! We packed up and set off for an adventure and found some mud and some really neat little trails up off the 15. We've gone riding and driving all over up there but still haven't seen it all.
some dogs like to play with balls.. ours likes to play with logs =) its good exercise for her too

this was a funny shot..

dont mess with my dolls... she was babysitting for Heather =)

bundled up for our chilly adventure

we got to see the train go by too.. and the conductor waived to us and honked the horn

Heather thought it was awesome to see a real train on the choo choo tracks

want to go for a swim? not sure why or how or when.. but there was a swimming pool out in the middle of nowhere. You can see an old foundation and what could have been a path to some old building and a little further down the road was a part of another building. Perhaps a railroad town or a hidden resort from olden days? we just thought it was hilarious there was a pool in the middle of nowhere

my little snuggle bear kept me warm too :)

that little elf Holly had a tea party with the other Christmas toys one day..

and another day she built a fort for her and Heather to play in
apparently Holly was a bit mischievous one night..what do you think of our new decorations? .. that Elf!!

This little Elf Holly is really neat to have around and MOST of the time is pretty good.. Heather really does get excited to see what she will be doing. Although she seems to like the snowball fight, tea party etc more than messing with her clothes.. I had to talk to Holly about that one =)
Merry Christmas and watch out for those elves!
(she did tell us Santa's favorite cookies are Daddy's p-nut butter ones so we are very excited to be making them this weekend..yummy!)

A visit from Holly the Elf..

Herbie, the head Elf at Santa's workshop let Holly come to vacation at our house until Christmas.. We were so excited to have her stay with us.. until...
It appears Holly sleeps during the day and comes out to play at night.. this being her first night I guess she was missing the snow from the North Pole and decided to have a snow ball fight with the other Christmas toys. This cute little Elf has a mischievous side...

When Heather got up this morning she was so excited to see what Holly had done..she then decided Minnie needed to play too. Luckily this magic snow doesnt melt =) heehee

Someone thinks clothing is optional and over rated LOL it cracks me up when she does this!!
Hope you are all ready for the holidays and if an Elf from the North Pole comes to visit you.. be ready for some mischief
(if you go to elfingaround.com you can see more of the Elf stories)
Merry Christmas!!

the man in red...

The jolly man in red is good once again... the past 2 years Santa was GREAT from a far but this year.. he was great far and near. Originally Heather and I ventured out on Sat to our cities library for "Santa's Party" but she wasnt so sure about Santa right then. We did run into a friend and heard AMAZINGLY great news!! so that made the trip totally worth it! Sunday I had to get my yearly ring check up and such and we had 2 hours to enjoy. While at the mall across the street from the jewlery store Heather decided she wanted to say HI to Santa.. next thing you know after a short line she ran up gave him a hug told him what she wanted for Christmas and even what kind of cookies and treats we were leaving for him.. that's probably what put the big smile on Santas face too LOL. Next thing I knew she was on his lap and smiling and giggling and very excited to take her picture with the man in red.
after the pictures, we grabbed some yummy pretzel bites and played in the little playground area. Heather of course went straight for the car.. she's sooooo like her Daddy!!

it was a great afternoon spending the day with my little girl! And Kevin was almost in shock when I told him we didnt buy anything while spending 2 hrs a the mall.. I must admit I was a little surprised too. We just got caught up looking at all the decorations and even the few stores we went in just looking around was fun! what a great way to spend a rainy day!
