Battle at Primm

A full weekend of fun at the races!! 

we had told the kids they had to stay behind the blue line.. of course Heather is right up next to it just pushing it out a bit.. but she's behind it =) she is so like her Mommy =) 

Analina tried the bucket hat look .. it defiantly keeps the sun out of your face 

proud pappa alert! Wayne was so excited to have his daughter Gabbie race with him .. she was extatic as well. She raced Sat and Sunday and then took her drivers license test on Monday!

our friend Derek was also racing.. I guess you can say we have a thing for red race trucks...

2 of their kids are away at College (berkley and Olivet) This is the amazing family we get to race with

Wayne made him work for it but Libby's trophy truck has more power than our 1400 class truck

What can I say.. we love dirt! its good for the soul =)

made a stop by our dry lake.. it had been so long since we have been here! Heather mentioned going to the desert on our way home so we made a detour and made a special stop

FUN FUN FUN

January ended w/ some parties and the good times rolled right into Feb.. what a great way to end one month and begin another! The neighbor friend and Papa (aka Kev's dad Gary) celebrated their bdays at the end of Jan and we started Fed off with some good ole fashion play time w/ friends

a very special surprise came to start Feb off.. our dear friends got engaged. We were invited over for a little get together and then Darin surprised Ashley by proposing to her :) so happy and Ash was soooo surprised it was very special to be a part of the new chapter 

her smile just kept getting bigger and bigger =) 

We watched the super bowl on Sunday and routed for the Seahawks but really wanted to see a good game but apparently the Broncos didnt want to play! The rest of the weekend was amazing!

With the month starting off with such great times I cant wait to see what else lies ahead...

Montebello Barnyard

We never knew there was a barnyard in Montebello! Its a small little barnyard but the girls had tons of fun! We went on the pony rides, a little train ride, visited the animals and the carousel too. There's a nice park too which is perfect for a picnic. There were plenty of trees for shade which was nice since it was in the upper 80's.. gotta love CA winters =) so glad we found this little spot

Heather was so excited to ride the pony again.. the first time the guy let the girls trot a bit, they giggled the whole time!!

this cute little piggy was having fun but oh man did it stink!!!!! thankfully the rest of the barnyard didnt!

the cow cracked us up.. it kept mooing at Kev everytime he said something =)

Royal Tea and Story Time...

A little girls dream tea party comes true.... tea with REAL princesses!! My friend Lisa found out they had a tea and story time with the Royal Court on Saturday and the girls just couldn't have been more excited! All the little ones dressed up as royals and the Queen and Princesses each read a princess story and then it was time for tea and crafts. Our little princesses learned how to do the perfect princess waive and of course the importance of helping others and always wearing your most beautiful smile.

The girls realized that there were more princesses than just Disney princesses and were so excited to me them. They made crowns and wands too. It was a great afternoon! 

The Royal Court is very sweet and did a great job reading the stories and telling the girls about their adventures being princesses.
