Playing at Prado

Family Sunday Funday!!!
we had talked about going to Prado park for some weekend camping and thought we should check out the grounds and see what it was like. We have heard many good comments from friends and they were right! The place was fun! Even for just a day adventure
took a little adventure trail and checked out the lake

Dingo spotted the ducks..

this gigantic vulture was looking for something for lunch.. the bird was HUGE!

Love my little family

out in a meadow was this beautiful creature

The Crane grabbed a big lizard for lunch.. I had no idea they ate lizards!

saw a cute family of ducks

the weather was nice..didnt need a jacket that's for sure

where the kid goes.. the dog goes.. :)

they found some baby fish and a friendly duck

they have a pretty nice water park for the kids.. the furry kids can play too :)
Im surprised the dont have a more slip resistant turf for the water area.. it gets pretty slippery.. bring water shoes (noted that for next time)

the play ground was kid approved!
what a great way to spend a Sunday.. any day actually!

Planes of Fame

Sunday we headed out to Chino Airport for the Planes of Fame air show.. it was AMAZING! And to top it off, some very nice person gave us free tickets as we were walking in!
The weather was so nice and so much to see walking around.
 We just love military vehicles...

 AT-12 Guardsman
 SBD-5 Dauntless
this jet was amazing!!!! it could literally park in mid air and then launch off at super sonic speed

the Corsair is one of our favorites

this is inside one of the troop carriers, it served in many military actions
I believe they said it was a british plane

inside the cockpit

it was pretty cool to check out.. cant wait to check out the museum they have in palm springs

the Raptor was impressive!! it gave us chills watching it

the bad asses of the bad ass right here.. generations of the top flying machines

my loves..

it was an amazing day watching these flying machines! so glad we get to enjoy the beauty of them and didnt have to face the wrath of them. Cant wait to go back and check out the museum here too.

Spring Smiles

I think its really neat Heather's school does pictures twice a year. First you have the traditional school pic and then they do a fun Spring pic too :)
I wish you could see she had her cowGIRL boots on.. she loves those things! Heather decided what she wanted to wear and how she wanted her hair.. I think she made a great decision :) We think our little Spring Monkey is beautiful!!
this was her first picture at the beginning of the school year.. you can tell she liked this photographer better just by her smile :)
Its hard to believe she's almost done w/ kindergarten.. time flies way to fast!!!!!!
Happy Spring!!!!

backyard adventures

One of the best parts of having a HUGE back yard is all the fun you can have in it! This includes enough space for a little someone ot practice riding her quad :) She is doing pretty good on it by herself but still likes to have Mommy or Daddy on the back. Her quad does have a remote kill switch too but thankfully Kevin knows how to adjust all the settings and we were able to keep it from going to fast.
She came home from school and told Kevin "hop on Daddy lets go for a ride"

she loves

waiting for it to warm up

getting some tips from Dad

Dingo is always by her side.. she has to have her rope in her mouth and runs along side Heather the entire time :)

the sunsets have just been amazing the past few days

a purple and pink sunset.. one of our favorites :)

I want to be...

I want to be a cowgirl!! It was dress up day at school and the theme was what career do you want.. well our little horse lover wants to be a cowgirl so she can ride horses whenever she wants. Second option is a vet but only if she can still ride horses whenever she wants!
She has changed her mind many times about what she wants to be and I try to write them all down on a list for her :) I cant wait to find out what else will be added on the list by the time she's ready for college.

more hats for Bartholomew Cubbins...

This week is Dr. Seuss week at school and one day they had to design a hat from a paper bag
Its really fun when the kiddos can let their creative side out!

All the kiddos wore their crazy hats, had a parade and then read the 500 hats of Bartholomew Cubbins.
I helped roll the hat to size and Heather decorated.. we think she did an excellent job!! Hat maker may need to be added to her great skills list :)
the dragon fly is actually a part from a curtain tie back that didnt work well on her curtain but did an excellent job to help make the hat the right size :)

our proud little hat maker! she was so proud of her self and that makes us so happy!
All the kiddos had a blast and told each other what they liked about each others hats :)
I love how her school makes education so much fun!

for the valentine class exchange Heather wanted to make a unicorn.. I thought it turned out pretty cute too :) she painted and I glued.. it didnt quite turn out like rainbow dash as the original plan but we like it even better ... Heather named her blue beauty :)
