Summer time...

It may still feel like summer outside being that its 100+ these day but summer is officially over =( We are still enjoying our warm weather but its back to school time.. Our little one is an official 1st grader!! it just doesnt seem possible.. 

this is one way to enjoy the hot weather.. she has turned into a little fishy this year

cannonballs, flips, handstands and swimming across the pool and diving like crazy

tada!!! she has so much fun in the pool.. I bet she would sleep in there if we would let her 

and here she is.. our little first grader!!! She was so excited to see her friends but was bummed that they werent all in the same class again. It seems most of the kiddos felt that way but they all get to have lunch together and recess so that is good :) and her best buddies Anusheree and Sergio are in her class so they were very happy! 

4th of July Photo Shoot

The girls had so much fun! Hailey is use to being her Mom's little model and once Heather got into a little bit they were both a couple of hams :) 

maybe Im a little bias but they are a couple of cuties!

Weekend Fun

If the sun is out so are we :) We got up early Saturday morning and went for a hike and it was beautiful! Thankfully there was some shady spots to.. even though we started early it got pretty warm out on the trail. 

we went up a new trail and the view was amazing! 

it was fun spotting out landmarks in town 

we even found baby lady bugs not to mention many many lizards that Dingo spotted :)

best part of all.. there's a park at the bottom of the trails! We spotted a rare flying monkey on the mushroom looking spinny thing :) they re-did this park a few years ago and its a great improvement! 

later that day we went to a friends pool/ birthday party.. our little fishy is doing so good! 

she was in the deep end without fear! She had taken swim lessons so she knows the basics but its finally "clicked" and she's a little fish now! so proud of her!! 

It was my beautiful friend Anne's birthday and her amazing Hubby Phil has a July birthday as well so we celebrated them both.. they are such a great couple. So glad they found each other :) 

and these two cutie patooties are just precious! have you ever seen cuter twins sporting a chocolate goatee LOL Rae and Wes are adorable! 

another great weekend!!! we love summer..

99 years young

Our (step) Grandpa turned 99 on the 12th!! He's such an amazing kind hearted person that just makes you smile all the time! Grandpa Jerry was also an accomplished pilot that was in the Army during WWII where he received great honors including the purple heart. The purple heart he received for his great survival skills and helping his troops when they were shot down over occupied France. Grandpa Jerry is our hero!

Summer Fun

It seems like every weekend is packed full of some kind of fun! Heather was promoted from kinder to 1st grade!! Our dear friends got married and we have been non stop the past month and it doesnt look like its slowing down...which is just fine :) 

We went to Big Bear last weekend, it was nice to have the Hannah Clan together in one place. My Dad-in-law and his brother (Uncle Toad) found the perfect spot to say farewell to Grandma and Grandpa Hannah. It was a beautiful spot over looking the valley and the day was just beautiful

Grandpa Hannah passed in the late 70's and Grandma Hannah in 2006. It was a nice tribute to such wonderful people

June 12 this amazing man (Grandpa Jerry) is turning 99!!! He's still going strong and very independent. Grandma Fran and Grandpa Jerry are a true love story

June 12 is known as Lovers Day.. its also the day I married the Love of my Life!! 

Im so blessed!

Playing at Prado

Family Sunday Funday!!! 

we had talked about going to Prado park for some weekend camping and thought we should check out the grounds and see what it was like. We have heard many good comments from friends and they were right! The place was fun! Even for just a day adventure

Dingo spotted the ducks.. 

this gigantic vulture was looking for something for lunch.. the bird was HUGE!

The Crane grabbed a big lizard for lunch.. I had no idea they ate lizards!

the weather was nice..didnt need a jacket that's for sure

where the kid goes.. the dog goes.. :) 

they found some baby fish and a friendly duck 

they have a pretty nice water park for the kids.. the furry kids can play too :) 

Im surprised the dont have a more slip resistant turf for the water area.. it gets pretty slippery.. bring water shoes (noted that for next time) 

the play ground was kid approved! 

what a great way to spend a Sunday.. any day actually!
