family fun

The weekend was once again wonderful! Busy but wonderful! Amongst the graduation and birthday parties we found some time to have some fun in the sun. I took advantage of the sun and cleaned up the patio including Heather's outside toys.

I had to clean the toy buckets so might as well have some fun since it was nice and warm outside.

Dingo and Molly guarded Heather as she was swimming in her bucket.. yes she has her arm floaties on. I told her she didnt need them but she wanted to wear them anyways...

here is my wonderful family..We realized we didnt have a group pic of our family with Kev's brother (Tracy's) family so we thought that would be the perfect mother's day gift for their mom =)

 

creative day..

 another amazing weekend! I just love sunshine.. and weekends! Sunday was just so nice and beautiful that we decided to have a crafy creative day. We got some popsicle sticks at the craft store and a few more paints and then let our creativity run free =) we started making some houses out of the popsicle sticks and while those dry we got out the paints.

at first it was fun painting on the paper and see what could be made and then..

it was more fun to see what colors we could make with the paint

one color was this pretty purple! and since the plate was full of purple paint there was only one thing to do.. step in and have some fun! doesnt our walk way look beautiful!

after pouring some of the paint out of the other plates this is what Heather created.. I just love the waterfall looking one. Im hoping it dries well so I can spray some clear coat on it and frame it

 

Saturday was Super truck day! We headed to the Coliseum to watch the stadium trucks.. we were sooooo excited. There was about 10 of us all together so we took a limo.. it was so cool! Heather had a blast! (we got a killer hook up on a limo and when you figure the expense for all of us to drive and parking etc and not have to deal with traffic.. so worth it!)

 

our seats were right in front of start finish so we could watch them jump and they would light off the flames.. it was pretty cool!

watching the super trucks and monster trucks jump through the peristyle arches was amazing!  

I like to make shapes for Heather's sandwiches.. I cut out 2 hearts and 1 bone.. this is what was left.. a monster sandwich LOL it made me laugh how the pb & j look like eyebrows. I had cut a triangle out of the part left between the heart eyes.. she cracks up when I do silly things like this :)

Cant wait for more fun and sun this weekend...

some dirty fun...

The weather has been wonderful and the hubby was going stir crazy so we headed off to the desert for a little fun. No riding or little drives in the dirt until he's better but defiantly had some nice walks and enjoyed the beautiful desert! We went with some friends and had a little (week after) Easter egg hunt too. We were out numbered by the kiddos but survived... LOL

Friends and Fun...

we are loving!! this weather! Sunshine and friends is always good. Kev is re-cooping well, still sore and cant lift more than 10# which is absolutely driving him crazy but its only been 3 weeks. He's trying to be patient while everything heals but trying to keep an active guy down.. its not easy!  Thankfully the weather has been wonderful so he has gotten out for many, many walks and even met a few neighbors a couple of blocks away. We had a friend filled weekend! Last weekend my friend Lisa and I thought it would be fun to take our little ones to a kickboxing class at the park... another friend has been taking her daughter which is about the same age so we went to check it out. Turns out the three girls were the youngest by far and maybe a class more designed for younger kids would be better. We all got together again this past weekend and had some more fun in the sun! Heather and Emily love playing dress up together and finding all kinds of stuff to check out.

I absolutely love that Heather can find enjoyment in everything she does =) 

cant wait to see what new adventures the Easter bunny is going to bring this weekend..... 

what a week!

Oh my goodness.. this has been a crazy week! Kevin had neck surgery on Tuesday, Feb 26.. he's doing much better now. Still very sore in his neck area but the pain in his arm is gone so he is happy about that. In about 2-3 weeks he should be feeling almost human again. We had a check up today and the Dr was very happy with his recovery and even happier to know he wasnt needing the pain meds anymore. Heather has been very good at taking care of Daddy, its hard for her to not have him pick her up but she seems to understand it will just take time. For now, she can sit on his lap when he's sitting down and they can snuggle and still read a story so they are both happy about that :) Over the weekend we had some nice weather and Heather decided it was warm enough to play in the sprinklers. Although someone (a furry someone) had slightly eaten the sprinkler they had fun with the gieser sprinkler =)

A few days later .. Heather decided Daddy would feel better with her blankie, pillows and of course Clifford =) she knows how to take care of her Daddy 

this is just a funny one from the other day at day care.. they had a jammie day and Heather and her buddy Brenden decided to build a fort before the other kiddos came =) 

all is going well and Kev is re-cooping so for now we enjoy the little things even more 

the weekend was such a ...drag

the weekend was so sunny and nice and to top it off Kev had a 4 day pass to the drags! We all went on Saturday and loved it! We werent really sure what Heather was going to think but she was ear to ear grinning watching the drags!! We had a bday party to go to on sunday and shared our passes with our neighbor who also has a love for fast cars.

 

 we walked through the pits  and checked out some displays.. Heather liked seeing the inside of the car and one of the racers showed her some neat stuff too.. he has a spiderman attached inside that always rides with him.. Heather just cracked up! She also got a jr highway patrol sticker from a patrol man and he was going to let her drive until she asked for the keys.. LOL she just really wanted to see the car not be in that one

this jr drag car on the other hand.. she had no problem getting  in. The girl to the left is the driver of this drag car and was so excited to let Heather check it out

the feeling is totally different to the races we are use to going to but it didnt phase Heather at all. Thankgoodness we have good headphones for her =)

 

A Super Weekend!

The weekend weather was just right for some playtime out side! We did watch the Big Game but took many breaks to be out side =) Heather and I routed and cheered for the 49ers to win but I guess they couldnt hear us. I tried to explain to Heather that even though our team didnt make it to the superbowl we could still cheer for the 49ers, she was ok with that since they had the prettier uniforms.. cant go wrong with that logic LOL

being a princess is dirty work sometimes! Good thing she's washable heehee
