Texas Time...

Heather and I went to Texas for a week to visit family. Heather was able to meet my Grandma, Sister and nephew for the first time!! We surprised my Grandma ... she was so excited!! So many fun adventures
We got to go to this wild animal safari place called fossil rim and even got to ride in the back of my Dad's truck.. Heather was so excited to feed the Zebras and see the giraffes
so many good memories.. it was a very exciting trip! Heather wants a horse even more now! Her cousin taught her how to feed his horses and we went to a rodeo too. H asked a few of the cowboys why they didnt stay on the bulls longer.. if only I had a picture of their faces!! priceless!! they did say they would try better next time :) :)
to many pictures to post, so if you would like to see some click on the link and you should be able to view them :) I'll get around to organizing them later so for now.. just enjoy
We love the plane ride and had some great views and even got to see what the top of a cloud looks like!! What an amazing experience!!

Spring Time Adventures

Its spring time which means its time for more outdoor adventure fun!
the weekend of the 12th we went to the ridgecrest race... the truck broke but we still had fun camping. For Easter we went to the desert again w/ friends and had a great time!
Heather was off to the open road..

our only pic in Calico Easter weeeknd.. H wasnt feeling good so we had to cut the trip short but thankfully it passed quickly and we enjoyed the rest of the weekend relaxing at home

H and I strapped in and ready to head to the cabin

the last visitor left some essentials LOL got to love the box of wine =)

so many people visit the cabin and everyone does their part to make sure it stays nice
it was built in 1932 and in pretty good shape after all these years

some one added some furniture :)

the sky was gorgeous!

I have a thing for bridges :)

we tried the shaving cream technique for the eggs this year and I have to admit we both had fun.. a little messy but fun!

waiting for the eggs to dry (about 5 min)

washed them off and had these little beauties :) Heather wanted pink and purple and I think she did a great job!
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter w/ your family

Peruvian Vacation...

Want to go on a mini vacation to Peru with me?? well a visual vacation anyways..
My Sister-in- Law and my nieces are in Peru and I just love all the pictures Im so glad they are having an amazing time.  They stayed in Cusco where Luisa is from and visited Lima, the Sacred Valley and of course had to visit Machu Picchu. Its been many years since Luisa had been back to Peru and the first time my nieces have been. It was a very special trip because Luisa's mom had passed in Dec and there were some family members that could not make the trip. They were all reunited again and enjoyed happy times and made new memories.
All though my nieces are wonderful at taking pictures, not so much on descriptions and until they come back I dont have any real details for now.
so enjoy a mini visual vacation with me to Peru...
machu picchu is a very spiritual place

this is at sacred valley

Jessi, Channael, Luisa, Cheyana and their cousin they met for the first time

Machu Picchu is so beautiful

not sure what this is called but looks yummy! some type of fried clam I believe

My youngest niece Jessi celebrated her bday  in Peru w/ these furry critters :) Lama's are a huge part of the Peruvian culture... the clothing made from their wool is so warm!

in cusco

love the pool!
My nieces were able to visit the home where their mom and her family grew up, meet cousins for the first time, try all kinds of new yummy food and experience the beauty of Peru.
what a beautiful country! and thankfully the earthquake in Chile didnt effect them.. they weren't near the coast thankfully!
so happy they are experiencing this amazing trip and posting pictures so it feels like a little vacation for me too LOL cant wait until they are home in a few weeks to hear all about it!!
