mmm…its smells like fresh baked cookies…

Kev makes the most yummiest peanut butter cookies ever!! He has been making them for many years and this year Heather was let in on the secret recipe. I just love the way our home smells when cookies are baking. We made a few dozens to share with our friends and neighbors and saved some dough so Santa can have a few fresh baked ones =)

Its beginning to look like Christmas..

Its beginning to look like Christmas and we are all so excited! Heather is having so much fun looking at the lights and all the decorations. Two of our neighbors won awards for the best decorated homes in our city and they have snow blowing everywhere too its great! this past weekend  we went to Kev’s aunt and uncle’s house for the beginning of the family Christmas get togethers. Heather has so much fun playing with her second cousin Daniel, he’s about 6-1/2 months older than her and they have so much fun with each other. The weather was great to be outside, there was a little chill in the air but in the sun it felt great! I love California for that reason! We are just about ready for the man in red to come visit, tonight we will bake some cookies for the neighbors.. I cant wait! Kev makes the most delicious pnut butter cookies! I’ll post pics of that later =) Hope the Christmas cheer is finding you all well too.

a magical day..

we headed off to Disneyland for some minnie and mickey magical fun at the happiest place on earth.. well at least in Anaheim. Heather had so much fun!! It actually wasn’t to crowded either.. its disneyland and will always be crowded but it wasn’t bad. We took the train ride around the park, which was so fun and went on a few rides and the carousel too and had lots of fun at toon town! It was a great day!

this is the next day.. we were off to have breakfast with Santa. Thankfully not everything was blown away and we were able to have some fun in the snow after breakfast
It was a great weekend! very busy but so much fun Thankfully we didn’t lose power at our house during the horrible winds but just about everything was blown around in the yard and a few neighbors lost some trees but nothing major where we were. Our family in TC was without power for 4-1/2 days, its back now. It was crazy to see all the beautiful old oaks blown down this was some crazy wind! Glad it didn’t last more than 2 days!
Now its time for more Christmas fun.. everyone is almost done putting up their lights and we can go for our walks to check out all the pretty lights!

Happy Thanksgiving..

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Im thankful for so many things.. these two are my favorite though!

Killer Shrimp, a bungalow and a rainy day

We had such a fun weekend with our friends. Two of our friends have bdays within a few days of each other so we got together to celebrate at Killer Shrimp in Marina Del Rey. Since it is a long drive just for dinner we thought we would make an adventure out of it and get a room and check out Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica etc the next day. It was our first time staying in a bungalow…isnt that just a funny word to say LOL we needed a room with a fridge so they gave us a bungalow.. it’s a little larger than a standard room which was nice. Killer Shrimp is delicious!! the scallops are sooo good.. my mouth was so happy! They have steak for non fishy eaters too (Kev was happy) The boats at the marina were huge!! Heather enjoyed seeing the BIG boats =)  It ended up raining on sunday so we didn’t get to go adventure like we planned so we headed home and played in the rain . Heather and Kev were scoping out the local paper to see what else we could check out

getting ready for winter…

Winter is coming and we are getting ready for winter adventures. Last weekend it was suppose to rain all day so we built a little fort to play in.. Heather loves playing “hide” even Dingo enjoyed the fort to hide in. When we went camping a few weekends prior, our little pup was cold outside so we did it.. we bought our dog a snow suit! she actually likes it and Heather thinks its hilarious. We love to go on little adventures and last year when we wanted to get Heather a snow suit everyone was either out of stock or way over priced! So I planned ahead this year and got it early.. something must be going on because all this planning ahead has made it possible to be almost done with Christmas shopping. We are ready to enjoy the holidays, do some light seeing, visit Santa and of course play outside every time we can. Hope your holidays are starting off exciting and fun also.

I instantly thought of the little boy from A Christmas Story “I cant put my arms down”  even though she can put her arms down it still made me laugh!can you tell Heather is a bit more excited about finding snow than Dingo is.. when we get to the snow our pup will be happy she has her snow gear too.

Copper City

The Hannah's packed up and headed off to copper city for some camping and fun with friends. Copper city is near Calico just on the other side of barstow. Theres plenty of good trails for riding and hiking, shooting is legal and plenty of room for having some good ole fashion fun! The weather was chilly but it was very beautiful and we had a big fire to keep warm too.

Its fun to take silly pics sometimes and Heather thinks its hilarious to stick her tounge out and giggle and I have to admit.. I think its funny too :) We had a great time camping with our friends. This is the second time we've been camping at copper city and I think its going to be a place we go to often.
